About

I was born in 1959 in Shiraz, Iran. After completing my high school education, I moved to the United States with my family in 1977- a couple of years before the 1979 Iranian Revolution.

I received all my higher education in the U.S. I had a diverse academic interest in a wide range of subjects from computer programming to Philosophy. Formally, I hold a B.A. in Sociology and Philosophy, and an M.A. in Economics. However, my professional field is systems engineering. I work in the field of automotive information technology as a senior technical systems architect.

From early on, my intellectual passion has centered on comparative theology, mysticism and philosophy. My ongoing research is primarily in these areas.

I have a weekly program on satellite TV called Parto-e Noor (Beacon of Light) which broadcasts worldwide. I also speak regularly at various cultural institutions in the U.S. including Los Angeles, Irvine, Fresno, San Jose, Oakland and Houston.

I live with my lovely wife, two daughters and son in San Diego, California.
