The Quran informs that Prophet Abraham came to meet God only when he had acquired a pure heart (<strong>\u0642\u0644\u0628 \u0633\u0644\u06cc\u0645<\/strong>). According to the Gospel of Matthew, when Thomas asked Jesus: \u201cLord, show us the Father, and it will be enough for us.\u201d Jesus told Thomas,\u00a0 \u201cblessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.\u201d\u00a0 For this reason, Sufi Muslims view the heart as a sacred place, where the seeker&#8217;s journey to unite with God, ends.
